HOW CAN YOU HELP NEEDY KIDS THROUGH THIS BOOK?

According to a San Francisco Chronicle article, 53% of Americans are dissatisfied with their religion.  WHY?  Is it because we too often stress rote learning of creeds and rituals when teaching our children about God, but not enough about having a spiritual relationship with him?  Do they grow up church shopping in order to find more than words?  There are many religions in our world, with as many doctrines which they teach their children.  I was inspired to write Spacey’s story so all children, especially hurting children could discover that God is a friend who lives in their hearts where they can talk to him and "ask him stuff."

REVIEW by Lenore Weiss, Kehilla Community Synagogue

SPACESHIP LANDS IN AFRICA:  When Spacey the Mouse hears that NASA is looking for mice and other volunteers, he signs up for the mission.  His is no ordinary mission.  He wants to find God and "ask him stuff."  But instead of Cape Canaveral, the spaceship accidently lands in Africa.  Spacey and his fellow passenger, Dog, split up to find the way home, which is when the real adventure begins.  In a tale that is reminiscent of Rudyard Kipling's "Just So" stories, Spacey overhears children singing a circle song that deepen his understanding.  He learns further lessons from other animals he befriends along the way.  A lovely tale about how God is inside all of us.
